Hydroxytyrosol from Olive Extract — antioxidant and anti‑inflammatory properties.

FENÒLIA® Gastro‑Resistant Capsules 7.5 is an enteric‑release food supplement containing Hydroxytyrosol from Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Olive Extract, a complex of polyphenols also extracted from olives. Taking Hydroxytyrosol with FENÒLIA® Gastro‑Resistant Capsules 7.5 provides polyphenols in an amount greater than that present in 20 g of olive oil, ensuring all the recognised antioxidant and anti‑inflammatory properties and functions attributed to this substance.

ORAL treatment with FENÒLIA® Gastro‑Resistant Capsules 7.5 combined with TOPICAL treatment using FENÒLIA® Eudermic Cream 15 helps to soothe and control symptoms associated with oxidative stress (e.g. atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema), maximising the beneficial effects for the body through the antioxidant activity of Hydroxytyrosol, released enterically by this formulation. A distinctive feature is delivery in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which ensures high bioavailability.

Olive oil polyphenol

FENÒLIA® Gastro‑Resistant Capsules 7.5 is characterised by the presence of Hydroxytyrosol from Olive Extract at 7.5 mg per capsule, delivered in Italian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which in turn provides all the other polyphenols with pronounced antioxidant and anti‑inflammatory properties that are typical of this cornerstone food of the Mediterranean diet.

Health effects

The gastro‑resistant formulation maximises absorption, allowing Hydroxytyrosol to carry out its inhibitory functions on: LDL oxidation; platelet aggregation; the production of pro‑inflammatory molecules; the activity of the arachidonic‑lipoxygenase enzyme; as well as on the post‑prandial absorption of olive‑oil phenols and their incorporation into lipoproteins, producing effects that support the regulation of plasma triglycerides.

The literature also reports that many inflammatory conditions of the skin and mucous membranes associated with oxidative stress (e.g. atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema) may be modulated by regular intake of Hydroxytyrosol. This substance has a very high antioxidant capacity (ORAC index—Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity—of 40,000 μmol TE/g) and, thanks to its well‑recognised ability to counteract the peroxidative action of free radicals (oxidative stress), it may help reduce signs of skin ageing (brightening and anti‑wrinkle effects).

Capsule made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose with gastro‑resistant coating [Patents No. 202017000075448 for “Utility Model” and No. 102016000007757 for “Industrial Invention”], produced using the GastroR‑Oilcaps™ process (figurative trademark of Truffini e Reggè Farmaceutici Srl). The gastro‑resistant coating is produced at Rofarma Italia laboratories.

The product does NOT contain Titanium Dioxide.

Ingredients

Composition: Italian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea Europaea L., Oleum); Coating agents: acetylated starch, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose; hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule ingredient); Olive (Olea Europaea L., Fructus) dry extract, standardised to 10% Hydroxytyrosol; Anti‑caking agents: talc, silicon dioxide; Vitamin E (DL‑alpha‑tocopheryl acetate) oil; Stabiliser: glycerol; Antioxidant: DL‑alpha‑tocopherol; Colour: copper complexes of chlorophylls and chlorophyllins (E141). Total net weight: 22.2 g; Packaging: 30 swallowable gastro‑resistant film‑coated capsules.

Daily dose and directions for use

Take 2 capsules per day (or as advised by a healthcare professional) after main meals, swallowed with water.

Warnings

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product should be used as part of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children under three years of age. Store in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.
